On Sunday, September 12th, 2021, in the church of the Glorious Name of Mary in Donji Grad, organized by the Branch of Matica hrvatska in Osijek, “Veniforas” trio from Zagreb held a concert. Daniela Perosa (soprano), Robert Palić (bass) and Franjo Bilić (organ and artistic direction) performed compositions by Tomaso Cecchini, Vinko Jelić and Ivan Lukačić, thus introducing the most important Croatian early baroque composers to the Osijek audience. The excellent acoustic church of the Glorious Name of Mary proved to be an extraordinary concert space for chamber ensembles, with Osijek audience very pleased to hear the “Veniforas” trio. Special thanks go to the hosts – the organizer of the concert, the Branch of Matica hrvatska in Osijek and the pastor, the Reverend Ivan Jurić for the nice hospitality and socializing after the concert evening. The concert was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia.
The main motto of the programme on which the idea of the HGC is based is: “Let’s listen to Croatian music!”
