On Monday, October 6, 2023, in the Mihael Šilobod Library in Sveta Nedelja, the latest edition of the Matica Hrvatska branch in Sveta Nedelja was presented – the first modern transcription of a valuable monument of Croatian musical baroque, the collection “Madrigali concertati” by the Istrian composer Gabriel Usper, awarded with the Golden Charter of Matica Hrvatska, published on the occasion of the 400th anniversary of the first printing. The book was presented by Ivana Juričić, president of the Matica Hrvatska branch in Sveta Nedelja, Ivana Petravić, editor of the edition, and editors Martina Mičija Palić and Robert Palić. The publication of this edition was made possible by the City of Sveta Nedelja, Zagreb County and the City of Zagreb.
The main motto of the programme on which the idea of the HGC is based is: “Let’s listen to Croatian music!”
