The project “Lux Musicae” has presented to the audience of the Zagreb County two classical music programmes in the following cities: Vrbovec, Križ, Sveti Ivan Zelina and Ivanić Grad. Two concerts were performed by the “Projekt Lazarus” with the program, which included Croatian authors of the early Baroque; Ivan Lukačić, Ivan Šibenčanin, Vinko Jelić and Damian Nembri. The significance of this programme is valuable promotion of the neglected 17th century Croatian musical heritage and represents indisputable evidence of belonging to Western European culture and civilization.
Another program within the “Lux Musicae” was presented by mezzo-soprano Aida Vidović Krilanović and harpist Tajana Vukelić Peić in Križ and Sveti Ivan Zelina. The concert programme included the most famous songs of great composers, adapted for voice and harp among which should be noted pieces by Bach, Purcell, Franck, Bizet and Puccini.
The main motto of the programme on which the idea of the HGC is based is: “Let’s listen to Croatian music!”
