At the General Assembly of Matica Hrvatska, held on Saturday, October 28, 2023, in the Small Hall of Vatroslav Lisinski in Zagreb, prizes were awarded for the best achievements in publishing, and another Golden Charter, in a great competition of valuable publications from other branches, was awarded to the Matica hrvatska Branch in Sveta Nedelja and the Croatian Music Center for the publication of the first printed contemporary transcription of the Croatian musical baroque, the collection Madrigali concertati (1623) by the composer and instrumentalist Gabriel Usper, which was published on the occasion of the 400th anniversary of the first edition.
The main motto of the programme on which the idea of the HGC is based is: “Let’s listen to Croatian music!”
