In the 8th edition of the classical music cycle Lux musicae, the Projekt Lazarus ensemble will mark the 10th anniversary of its activities with a festive concert in the church of St. Vitus in Brdovec, December 19, 2023, starting at 7 p.m. In addition to this important anniversary of the ensemble, the concert program will include selected musical numbers from the collection Madrigali concertati (1623) by Gabriel Usper, thus will mark the 400th birthday of this important monument of Croatian and European musical baroque. The program will be completed by the masterful works of two of the most important representatives of the Croatian musical baroque, Vinko Jelić and Ivan Lukačić. The concert is held under the auspices of the Zagreb County, and the organisers are the Croatian Music Center and the Parish of St. Vitus in Brdovec.
The main motto of the programme on which the idea of the HGC is based is: “Let’s listen to Croatian music!”
